Steemit Mystical World Series #13: The necessity of Hardship
In this edition of the Mystic World Series, we're taking a look at something that almost every person has to face sooner or later in his life. The one thing we all have in common, hardship.
A lesson to be Learned
If things in life came to us granted, if we had everything our mind could create, how would we grow?
Many people sooner or later face a wall in their life's path and find themselves asking "Why me?". This wall is called "Hardship" and is composed of things we don't want to deal with.
Take this article for example. It takes some effort and hardship to actually compose it. But what would I feel if it was just copy-pasted?
The truth is that if we never had moments of hardship in our life we would end up being lazy and non-productive. These moments are presented to us at points so we can push our boundaries and expand.
Nothing in life comes easy, but once we reach a point where we obtain that which is sought, then a state of equanimity arises, a state of ease. Once in that state, we can set our sales to the next hard thing.
From pain to Bliss
()
There is one thing that goes beyond everything that one can seek to obtain. That thing is called self-appreciation. The ability to appreciate what you do and find pleasure in your deeds. This is something that cannot be simply obtained, it has to be forged through hardship, devotion, and consistency.
Most often people say to themselves: "Oh wow! I would love to be that or do that!", only to give themselves a ton of reasons not to, where in fact these reasons are the walls of hardship, the bonds of growth and the chains of suffering that need to be broken by the one given the individual in order to reach the firstly stated position.
Happiness and bliss don't come granted, sometimes they don't even come from financial support, they only come from the battlefields of the "Self", when one is willing to and starts waging war with the one true enemy, "Ourselves" or in other words with our own weakness.
Hardship is like fighting with yourself and thus we grow from our scars.
In the next Series we will explore some more Lost places. Also having a small giveaway.

good info
Me again, spamming your comment section like a maniac :D At least it is not an automated message.
So...hardship..tell me about it. Going though it lately and the good news is that in my guts I know something great is coming next, or at least it has to after all this suffering. Your post really gave me encouragement and strength to get some lost motivation back. Looking back in my experiences, I can confirm that hardships taught me the most important lessons and I am grateful for all of them.
Each article of the Mystical World series is a unique creation in its own. Hardships are a part of life and something that is inevitable. Just like you cannot make coffee without water, you cannot have a complete life without hardships and as you said, self-appreciation is certainly one effective way to face the hardship and move past it. One thing- wasn't this series focusing on discussing different places only?
