Can we learn something positive from villains?
Once upon a time, there was a boy, who was interested in villains, he was so fascinated by their charisma and thinking that he wanted to be like them.
So what did he do?
He took every positive attribute he could find and created his own way of thinking. Because of that, he was not only smarter, but also he saw that everyone has some positives.
So, is it really possible to discover some advantages in person full of disadvantages or was my opening just a big lie?
For me, it's possible to find good traits in villains, but sometimes you will have to look very deep.
I don't want to make this post too long, so I will talk about my two favourites villains, and concentrate on one trait from each.
Let's start with one and only.
Joker
What can you learn from him?
As you may know, he is one of the biggest enemies of Batman and all he cares about, is chaos. There is one thing though, that, we should learn to make our lives easier.
Remember always have a plan B.
I don't know if you watched a movie with him or if you know him but when he is planning something, he always has a backup plan
For example:
(spoiler alert)
During the movie "The Dark Knight" there was a scene, where the joker placed bombs on two ships, one had prisoners and second, had normal people. He then gave each group a detonator to the explosives on the other boats.
In his experiment, he wanted to prove, that in particular circumstances, people would turn to animals, and kill each other. Sadly for him, it didn't happen, and it seemed that it was an end to his plan, but he had another detonator, to destroy both boats.
(end of spoiler)
That is what can you learn from him, always try to have a backup plan. If you want to change your job, save some money, so if something goes wrong, you will at least have some time to survive those bad times. If you want to do something risky, always think what can go wrong, and try to prevent it, or cushion it. Yes, it will cost you more effort, but it's better to sacrifice a little bit more of your energy and time, instead of losing something significantly crucial.
Now let's move to a second villain
Hannibal Lecter
What can you learn from him?
If you want to achieve something in your life, learn a lot.
For me, knowledge is one of the most important things that you should expand. I think that there are two main fields where great knowledge can come with enormous benefits.
What are those fields?
In my opinion, it's psychology and languages
Hannibal knows a lot about those two subjects, he is not only fluent in Italian, Lithuanian, French and Japanese, but he is also a psychiatrist.
So what does it give him?
Basically, everything he needs, people listen to him, he knows what they are thinking and how they will act, others see him as a very charming, mysterious and charismatic man with a lot of intelligence.
Sure probably you won't be like him, because he is a book character, but it doesn't mean that you will not achieve some of his abilities.
Psychology can help you a lot in every moment of your life, maybe you will need to get something done, or you will need to find a new job and have to impress your future boss. Thanks to your knowledge in this subject, you could easily see what you have to say or do, you would know what others are thinking, or at least how to prevent them from seeing you as an incompetent person.
I think that talking about the usefulness of knowing languages is unnecessary. It not only helps you during a job interview, and later in your job, but also in travels and in meeting people from other countries etc.
I want to end my post here, as I said at the beginning, I don't want to write the whole book about it there are a lot more examples and a lot more villains to talk about so If you want me to speak more about this topic, just let me know.
thank you, for the information, your article is amazing
