Dear Steemit. My Introduction and Outlook as a Professional Poker Player & Content Creator

in #life7 years ago

What's up fellow Steem users! This is my first post, and i'm going to tell you who I am and what I came here to represent. I feel like I need to make a good first impression, so i sincerely hope I can muster up some decent response here. I must admit, I'm truly excited about how steemit operates by how it contrasts the good content from the bad while offering a method of rewarding an individual for their quality effort.

My name is Evan, and I am 28 years old. My regular job consists as me being a professional poker player on the live scene. I've delved in the world of poker, and mainly No-Limit Texas Hold'em since I was 15. I remember my first game with my buddies from boarding school where we started off not even knowing which way the cards were dealt, or that we needed a dealer button in order to know who's turn was first. We started playing for 5 bucks here, 10 bucks there, and eventually more and more of us in the boarding house started getting in on the action. You could say that me a couple others were the genesis of poker at Shawnigan Lake School.

All of this was taking place during the booming internet age when online poker began making a foothold and gathering huge interest. I honestly credit all of my technical knowledge of poker to the internet which allowed me to gain experience much faster than anyone trying to absorb that same knowledge playing in a live ring game. During the peak years of playing at 17-18, I was multi-tabling upwards of 15+ tables at a time. Today however, with most Americans not being able to play online, and the fact that the online game experience has evolved, it's much tougher to sustain a living without proper tools and tough discipline. It's because of these factors that I mostly dropped out of the online scene and focus on the live games in my own city where I've come to learn how to play a live game.

All of this however is only half the story, and as I grew up, I started getting more and more interested in politics, media, and conspiracy. Playing poker professionally gave me the opportunity of having a free and open timetable to do whatever I wanted and when I wanted. I soon established my second hobby of becoming an online analyst, looking deep into topics that involved politics, religion, and spirituality. As I started realizing certain truths were blatant lies in society, I started to question everything.. It is in this line of questioning that I began to learn the truth and that in time I would like to share with the steemit community!

My username holds the key to my intentions, as I am here to represent the true nature of our world and how it operates. Regardless whether you are aware or not, the wealth on this planet does not distribute fair or evenly. Through study and deep examination, it is found that a powerful group of people combining families, corporations, banking, technologists, religion and government control the lion's share of the power and wealth on this planet we call Earth. There are many labels for this group, but most know them by the elite, or the powers that be.
