Self-isolating digging in the past - Hamilton Island. The place I would rather be

Long time not see Ladies and Gentlemen...

While being lock down in my family place in Central Coast I were thinking about brighter, warmer and more social times. It brought me back to a beautiful place on earth - Hamilton Island to which I have moved over a year ago.
My previous posts were about quite special place - Port Douglas in Queensland. After 3 years of being there I have decided to change the scenery. Not too much of a change tho, moved to another tropical place - Hamilton Island.
Packed all my things accumulated through these years.

More than I have expected :D And as you can see on the photo - my drone, tripod, steadicam and all my gears were going with me :)
Packed a car, set my GPS on destination - Airlie Beach. 8hr drive

I really did enjoy that drive. Although the night and the morning day after were quite crazy and full of running. I stopped at an Airbnb place at Airlie, slept for like a 4hrs, woke up at 4am, repack my luggage, drove out to find the proper place of departure (there are 2 harbours close to each over and needed to find the right one, cuz had been given contrary information ) drive back and forth between them at 6am (at 7 my ferry departs), found the right one, filled up the car, race back the keys (it was a rental), call a taxi and nicely asked to speed up a bit. Jump onto ferry at the last second.
But the view was forth every hustle.

From the marina I has been taken to the Oatley Collage to finalise my employment there. Got my ID card and signed all the papers. from there went to my new home for the next few months.

Over a year being on the island, I have quite a few story to tell :)
