Almost everyone will certainly not be separated from the name of plastic material in their daily activities. Yes, indeed plastic has become an important component in modern life today and its role has replaced wood and metal considering its advantages include light and strong, resistant to corrosion, transparent and easily dyed, and good insulating properties. The properties of this plastic material make it difficult to replace with other materials for various applications, especially in everyday life ranging from food packaging, household appliances, children's toys, electronics to automotive components. As we all know that plastic is very difficult to decompose in the soil, it takes years and this will cause its own problems in handling it. Plastics are still a waste problem that can reflect the environment. Its nature is not easily biodegradable, making plastic waste always increases, not even on land, plastic waste is very disturbing to marine biota.

There are various ways to deal with plastic waste. Some are recycled, some are destroyed using environmentally friendly methods, some are dumped in landfills so they are not environmentally friendly. Tackling plastic waste is easy. As a result of synthetic products, plastic waste is not easily destroyed naturally. It took a very long time to break down the plastic back into natural elements.

In general, the community only knows the instant way to deal with plastic waste. Plastic waste is usually only stockpiled or burned. Quality plastic waste is collected by scavengers for sale and recycling. The rest, left alone and mount in the garbage dump.

Plastic waste must be handled properly, otherwise it will endanger our environment. There are so many disasters caused by bad handling of plastic waste. The most effective handling of plastic waste is improving behavior. Savings, simple, and love the environment. A simple person will apply the principle of reuse, for example reusing bottles and used plastic. People who are economical will apply the reduce principle, for example reducing the use of plastic goods. While people who love the environment will apply the recycle principle, which is throwing plastic waste in inorganic waste. This is the most effective plastic waste management. Everything will run if these three principles are accompanied by a conscious and caring attitude towards the environment.

It is undeniable, plastic is a very useful finding throughout the course of human history. Plastics have properties that are waterproof, durable, and practical so that they are considered most appropriate as packaging or protective of all things. Unconsciously, our lives are so dependent on this object. It is estimated that one person uses around 700 plastic bags each year. There is no word late to make changes.

Here are the small steps you can take to reduce your daily plastic consumption.

• Reduce Products Using Plastic Bags
  Products in plastic packaging are practical. But practicality is sometimes and often adversely affects the environment. As a solution, you can buy products in bulk and ask the seller to fill the container we carry with the items we want.
• Bring Your Own Shopping Bag
  Say "no" when the cashier puts your groceries in plastic, and hand over your own shopping bag.
• Use the Lunch Box to Wrap Food
  Buy food without plastic can be done by bringing your own lunch box. Submit your empty lunch box to the seller to fill in your favorite menu.
• Stop Using a Straw and a Disposable Plastic Spoon / Fork
  Disposable plastic items such as straws and plastic spoons contribute to large amounts of plastic waste. To work around this, bring your own utensils such as spoons and forks and dare to say no to the seller. Now there is also, really, a reusable alias straw can be used repeatedly.
• Store the product in a bottle or jar
