USA today published an article by Maeve McDermott and Patrick Ryan, letting us know what old songs we should now be offended by, but the only thing I'm offended by is their stupidity. Their article can be seen here: http://archive.is/UMP6d
Why do I get the impression that the reviewers of most of these songs are not old enough to understand the proper context?
Agreed.
The majority of modern "music" I find offensive to be honest. And not in the snowflake sense. I mean it just sucks.
Ebony and Ivory? Really?
Blew my mind.
When a song about people coming together "in perfect harmony" is offensive...
The sad thing is a lot of these songs have a positive and, dare I say, progressive message (Ebony and Ivory, for example).
It feels like a large portion of society has forgotten that context is a thing.
Its just the lyrics,,their making a big deal out of it and not all song in thier article are old song...
