MY PHANTOM TO DO LIST

  1. Do laundry

  2. Cook rice, beans and egg stew.

  3. Submit a form online

  4. Call glory and O gift, ASAP!

  5. Watch the premiership match by 7.45pm

  6. Pray for an hour today.

  7. Social Media Time: Steemit,Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LIB.

  8. Study for upcoming exams!!!

Like you've noticed, if you are like me who does to-do lists regularly, 24 hours just goes and you've not done more than number 4!

Then you feel very empty after doing number 5 (watching a premiership game). You leave the viewing center at 10pm after arguing about a penalty and all you can do is some social media on facebook before you doze off.

Grrrggggghhhhnnnnn....Your alarm rings again and it's another day you didn't pray or study for exams, like you said you would.

You did 75% of your to-do list and you still feel astonishingly depressed!

This is the catch.

Every task on your to-do list doesn't give you equal degrees of fulfillment.

So when you write them, mark the ones you'd feel terrible about, if you don't do them.

For me, I'd feel perplexed if I planned to study and I couldn't. But I wouldn't feel equally so if I don't go to YouTube or post on Facebook. The only way I'd comfortably see a match is when I'm sure I've studied.

If there is a deadline, submitting an online form will likely come before praying. I won't concentrate on my knees when I feel an opportunity is slipping from me in the real world.

Glory will understand my apologies when I call a day after I planned to. Gift is less forgiving but she won't kill me if I tell her I'm preparing for an important exam that is grinding my social life to a halt at the moment.

The bottom line is simple. Execute your to-do list after the level of fulfillment you derive from those tasks.

As in life, you don't have to do everything. You just have to do the ones that matter the most.
