I've known far too many people who were molested when they were children. The saying is that time heals all wounds. What is forgotten in that is it doesn't heal the scars. Those scars remain extremely sensitive for the lifetime of the victim. All crime is horrible but there is just something extra heinous about this type. :(
It causes life-long damage to the victim, no matter the outcome. One of life's most horrible crimes.
