3 Jedi Mind Tricks That Actually Work
Words and body language are powerful. More goes on beneath the surface of every conversation than we realize. Try these Jedi Mind Tricks and see if you become more effective in your life...
1. EMBEDDED COMMANDS: When delivering bad news, say "you may not totally love this" verses "you are going to hate this". Why? You are pushing the "embedded command" -Love This. Ask for the outcome you want..."Stay careful with that drink on the couch." vs. "Don't spill it". "Remain calm" vs. "Don't panic".
2.EYE CUES: Are you talking to a "feelings" processor or a "visual" processor? Do their eyes go up searching in their mind's-eye for pictures as they talk, or down to their core? If up, you use words like "Can you see us doing this deal (going to my movie choice, restaurant etc)?" Picture the perfect scenario and describe it that way. For feelers use "Would you feel fine with me going away surfing next weekend?"
3. GESTURES: This one mirrors the Obi-Wan moves...it's an easy habit and you may do it already, gesture towards yourself when saying positive things, away from yourself with anything negative. Subconsciously people pick up on it and are more likely to attach the positive traits to you.
OK...This is NLP 101, the basics that I have used and taught successfully for over a decade and will happily post more on the topic in future.
Thanks for the upvotes :D

It's so amazing how simple changes in language can persuade people.
Indeed, i hadn't thought about being deliberate with my hands. Will have to try that out, is their any examples you can give for hand gestures/movements for positive and negative affects?
Minor movements. Thumb towards self:
"Tell me about your ideal candidate for this job" *slight thumb to self.
"Yes, there are always some negative people having bad day" * Wave hand out and away to "them".
Nod head slight yes when trying to get a yes..."you can get me into the concierge level tonight?"
Practice on your family and friends. A little goes a long way in the subconscious of your audience. *more later in my next post
The self point is probably the most useful for me, especially when trying to create attraction and comfort.
These are the kinds of posts I'm looking for. :)
