The Road To Change - Day #1
The moment I opened my eyes, I remember the promise that I made to myself to change my eating habits, my wild and unnecessary spending and what I spend my time on. I won't lie, I spent a couple of hours in bed scrolling through Facebook and then found my way over to Reddit, catching up on threads about cryptocurrencies. Finally I got up and started my ketogains 5x5 routine for the day.
Essentially, the goal is after each set, I am to increase the weight until I'm not able to lift. Then I de-load the bar and move forward, of course, with keeping form.
I had to stop inner me from beating myself up. I used to be so much stronger, but I started from an empty bell and once I added about 30 lbs of weight, I wasn't able to finish my overhead tricep extensions. I deloaded and kept going.
After I finished, I downed a protein shake then, fixed a breakfast of two scrambled eggs and cheese with a small bit of Turkey kielbasa. Protein, protein, protein.
Later on I had a protein bar, and then for dinner , 2 chicken breasts with some sauce on the side for dipping.
My last meal of the night is a protein shake, with green drink mix after I walk the new dog I'm boarding =)
