...thinking of all the other projects I've tried and how I've given up easily on those, giving up after experiencing early signs of defeat...Each of those is just an interruption, asking me, how bad do I want something and how much work will I put in?

I enjoy this juxtaposition of perception in what could be argued to be the same type of roadblocks. When you feel engaged by an effort, you continue to make the same simple yet difficult decision to say "I'll keep going". We have so much power over our outcomes, we only must accept our responsibility to maintain the drive to create a solution to the new problem.
