I recently had the opportunity to see some old photos that ranged from when my parents were still dating in the 1950's up through the 1970's and they produced that exact, "I had completely forgotten about that" response.

In addition to all of your other points about paper photos, I would also add that paper photos can be dried off and saved if they happen to get dropped into something that has water in it.

I'm probably not the only one who has accidentally dropped an electronic device in a toilet.
