Syria, and why it matters.

This is Alan Kurdi, a three-year-old Syrian boy, who died whlist fleeing the brutal civil war of Syria. He and his family were trying to reach Europe, in search of a better life than at back home. His picture is still just few of the many which show the horror in the lives of the people living over there. His picture brought tears to our eyes, but after a week or two, we forgot all about it and went back into our own lives.

Last week, there was another massacare in the Eastern Ghoutta region. Over 500 people are dead, 120 being children. There are reports that chemical weapons are being used against a civilian population.

The governments of the world have abandoned these people. Day by day nations are closing their gates on these refugees trying to flee the war. Their lives have become a living hell. There is blood running through the streets of the ruins of this once developing nation. How long are we going to turn a blind eye to the suffering of these people. The superpowers of the world have made Syria a playground for playing their nasty politics, completely ignoring the amount of civilain casualties that are increasing everyday.

In 2015, we forgot about them, but its high time the world, not just the governments, but responsible citizens like you and me wake up and start giving a damn about these people. Are we going to be known in history as the cowards who turned their backs on their fellow humans when they came begging for help ?

Please think about them, and lets not just pray, but do something about it too. I don't know how yet, but together, all of us, we'll find a way.
