How Can we Control the Dreams? #1: Astral Projection, Lucidity...
Lucidity and lucid dreaming
Lucidity ("mental clarity") usually starts during sleep when the dreamer realizes that some experience happened / occurred in physical reality, but in a dream. Once you realize that you still dream, you get full control of your dream.

What is astral projection?
Many will compare astral projection with lucid dreams, but there is one important difference. Lucid dream is usually between 3 and 5 o'clock in the morning. In it are entered automatically, a short time can not control your dream and then we are aware of what is happening in it, but then continuing unconscious dreaming, or waking up occurs.
Astral projection that we observe is not spontaneous but deliberate. So, in her enter with intent (and always with the usual method), but achieves a similar effect.
The reason why many people doubt the possibility of astral projection is because it would have been evidence of the existence of something beyond the physical body, and it is unthinkable to many.

What happens in the brain while we sleep?
In this story, the important are two hormones: serotonin (hormone of happiness that lights while awake) and melatonin (which is secreted when we need sleep / while we sleep and that allows visions and astral). When we are awake, our brain is the so-called beta frequency. How little we fall into sleep (stages 2, 3 and 4), brain activity decreases. We would expect that our brain activity to be lowest when we are in REM sleep (eng. Rapid Eye Movement, the deepest state of sleep), but it happens quite the opposite! It was at this stage in the brain alpha and frequency brain activity is higher and more frequencies.
But why is our brain activity increased during REM sleep? This is why it is at this stage lights most of melatonin, which we are told that the "sleep hormone".
Most people think that there is only one REM sleep while we sleep, but in fact there are more of them. In fact, when you fall into a dream, the first hour and a half does not dream, because then only accumulates melatonin which enable eventually get to the first REM.
Our first REM phase (of a total of four) comes after about an hour and a half of sleep and takes only 5-7 minutes. Each REM subsequently extended because of more and more secretion of melatonin. So will other REM last twice as long as the first, third slightly longer than the other, and the fourth (and usually last) take about 30 minutes (and often more). It is precisely this last REM should be used for entry into the astral.
Remember that it happens after 6-7 hours of sleep.
How would you more likely to astral fails, it is recommended that during this last astral coincides with the time of sunrise because light stimulates the release of serotonin which causes awakening. This is happening right chemistry. In fact, melatonin, which is now in huge quantities in your brain during the last REM, causing your drowsiness, and opposes his serotonin, which is trying to wake up (and on the lights when light falls on your eyelids). If they wake up during this period, often know to be intoxicated dream, bewildered, confused and so on. Combining these two neurotransmitters and their proper ratio is achieved by understanding that you are asleep ie. A kind of alertness in a dream.

Before you go to sleep
Be tired! (When you go lie down tired then usually fall asleep right away and things seemed to be, but if you go to sleep rested then you should sometimes up to an hour to fall asleep, so the whole scheme falls apart because you wake up, then you should not be)
Darken the room / place the mask over the eyes
Do not drink or eat approx. an hour before bedtime (physiological needs such as urination are stronger than sleep and wake up to you, and you goal is to have uninterrupted sleep as not to interrupt the flow of REM)
Do not do any work before going to sleep (under the "works" I mean rituals, meditation and the like. It is best to go to sleep as natural and relaxed and not think too much while on the astral projection or attempt any conscious methods of entering the astral because it all requires concentration)
Screw the alarm for 6.15 to 20 minutes (6 hours for sleep and for 15-20 minutes or as long as you already need to fall asleep)
