You Can write, You Get the Advantages

Two days ago, I was invited by the leader of disabilities community in Banda Aceh for helping them to develop the capacities of the disabilities to write. They want to be able to write. They really want to be able to promote and advocate themselves through writing. Therefore I was really happy to help and I did it at Walhi Aceh on Saturday afternoon.

There were not so many people who could attend the short meeting or consultation on this activity, because some others still did not know. May be the next meeting will be more.

It is interesting. They have good and strong reasons for learning. They have strong motivation to change perspective and actions of the community or people towards disabilities. They also want to contribute their thinking and ideas for a better life of the disabilities and change the bad impressions of many people on the disabilities. Therefore, they asked me to help. It is very important. We have started and opened the way.

As we have already known that writing is one of the four language skills. Writing is at the level of productive, and has passed the receptive level as we do when we are reading. Therefore, the more we read, the more information and knowledge we get. So, when we have received more and more information and knowledge, at the level of productive, we can write easily our ideas or thoughts we have got from reading activities.

Writing in our society is claimed by many people as the special skill for certain people. Many people say that writing is difficult. Even for other also say that writing is easy. Ideally writing can be done by all people who have been educated at schools. However, for most people who are lazy to think and lazy to do it, writing is always difficult and make it as the reason of most people. In fact, we find most people even say that they can not write. Is it right?

Actually writing is not difficult. It is easy, because writing has been learned by everyone since he or she waa in elementary school. Therefore, everyone who has been educated in the educational institutions is able to write.

Ideally those who have been graduated from universities are able and skillful in writing, but in fact anytime we ask someone to write, most people say they can not. It is impossible, is it?

Sure, it is impossible. However, the fact says different. Only people who know that writing brings more advantages. It is I debatable that writing gives us so many advantages. Generally, when someone does writing, the first advantage is his or her reading habit grows well, because before he or she does writing, he or she will have to read and read. Second on is that writing makes someone be popular. Third, writing is one way to gain more incomes in easy and short time. Fourth as what is expected by the disabilities in the training, wrting is aimed at promoting and advicating. Of course there are still so many advantages of writing. It is very important skill for all people. Unfortunately many people say that writing is difficult, actually not. Lets start it now
