Dust and Shadows 2.3

Swolesome made a goof. He pushed back the game so he could go to Disney with a female friend and when he came back the AC broke at his house.This is the first day in 8 he has even had the chance to touch his laptop.

You elect to walk to the canyon. As you arrive you find a wagon smash against the walls. A dead body is laying against the remains of the vehicle. Roll 18. You find a solid gold bar partially buried in the sand. It appears as if the wagon had an entire delivery filled with it. You look over with intense curiosity.

You scour the canyon and kneel by the walls. Black streaks are set in the stone. As if they were set on fire. Your hand finds a small crevice your hands investigate. Roll 8. You feel nothing there and turn around. A bullet whizes by you shattering rock. The spray of the powder blinds you. Roll 13 you manage to hide behind a boulder as bullets fly. Roll 11. You take a bullet to the shoulder and slide down.

As you walk to the canyon a small breeze blows. Roll 19. You eat the dirt as you trip. You look down and see a bar of solid gold. You pick it up and see a man wounded by a wagon. You stash the gold and investigate. He is gravely wounded. As you approach your hand glows as his wounds heal. You freeze.

You reach for the rock as the creature screeches in pain. Roll 2. It dislodges and crunches your hand. You rear back as your feet slide on the loose terrain. Roll 14. You steady yourself and glance at your hand, it stings but nothing too severe. You move the rock as the eagle hops away and studies you. Fierce gray eyes watch you as it flies away.
You watch it grow further away, in the horizon you see a small mining town.
