A Ceiba Tree

A "Ceiba Tree". This tree is located in the eastern part of paraguay. When it rains, it can suck up and save a lot of water. Cause this, the tree on the picture is thick like this.

The Pantanal

The Pantanal is a natural region encompassing the world's largest tropical wetland area. It is located mostly within the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul, but it extends into Bolivia and the north of Paraguay. It sprawls over an area estimated at between 140,000 and 195,000 square kilometres (54,000 and 75,000 sq mi). Roughly 80% of the Pantanal floodplains are submerged during the rainy seasons.

The Capital Asunción

El_palacio.jpg

Here you have a good view on the capital, Asunción. You see the central part of the city and how its going into nature, a little bit further away, where you can find suburbs. In this area is the main movement in Paraguay and if you need something and can't find it elsewhere, here you will get lucky. Even if Paraguay in the "third world" or in the "second world", you can get here everything! Not only on every corner.

Very often you can find old style building, which are relicts from old colonial times. But let us have s random and two different views and pictures! Think about: in Paraguay you find everything side by side.

There are some references where call Asunción the hottest city in the world. Maby it's true. In Asunción, there is very often not much wind. I don't know why. The air is very thick and smelly and dirty and yes: incredible hot!

On the left side of the image you can see the "Palacio de López" near the river "Rio Paraguay".

(Still) Everywhere: Oxcarts

Oxcarts are still a very common way to transport things. Especially on the rural parts of the county. But you can see them in the capital, Asunción, as well. But ther it's like hell for horse and ox and more and more people can afford a motorycle or a own car.

Runs? Runs!

Palacio de López

paraguay-2211577_1920.jpg

Palacio de López (Spanish for Palace of the López) is a palace in Asunción, which is the capital of Paraguay, that serves as workplace for the President of Paraguay, and is also the seat of the government of Paraguay.

Various European artists came to Paraguay to handle building decoration. In 1867, during the War of the Triple Alliance, the palace was almost finished, although were missing finishing details for completion. The ornamentation was statuettes of bronze and furniture imported from Paris, and large and decorated mirrors for halls.

The building also has extravagant night lighting. Wait for the next post, because i will present beauuutiful pictures and hit the button for a vote up and and follow! You have all my thanks!

Where my gosh is Paraguay?

Paraguay is geographical devided by the "Rio Paraguay".
In the eastern part of the country there is tropical or subtropical clima and rainy times in the summer and the winter too. But you can also have 3, 4, 5 weeks without rain.
In the western part of Paraguay, there is very dry! Most of the year. So nothing to laugh about. And maby this is a big reason, why there are parts, where you can't find any citizens on a square mile. Over 90 procent of the folks life in the western part of the country.

Viva la Paraguay!
