Delhi steemit meetup and birthday party rolled into one!
This past Saturday we had an unofficial steemit meetup in Delhi, India which was perhaps the first steemit meetup in this part of the country.
In attendance were @magicalrumana, @mantrasbymonica, @reasonstolive, @dheerajdj, and yours truly. @sardanadixit & @eric.chord joined over a video call later. @swati-s was present in spirit as always.

And though we all had known each other for a very long time now it was the first time we were meeting after joining steemit, so we can safely call it the steemit meetup since we had a long chat session clearing each other's doubts over steemit during the party.
And what an evening it turned out to be! One of the most fun weekends I've ever had. We ended up partying all the way till 5 a.m.
The occasion was @dheerajdj's birthday party, a surprise party planned by @magicalrumana. We had planned to raid these people post midnight but were caught by dheeraj standing near his apartment complex.
The element of surprise was gone but the party wad going to last for many hours. The Jack Daniel shaped cake set the mood and the party was rocked by the yummy hummus cooked by

the best ever birthday gift Dheeraj would get .. a mini stove and a kettle, just boil some water and make steem :D
It was a wonderful evening spent discussing our new found passion - Steemit - and catching up on life in general. The atmosphere turned a little sentimental when @dheerajdj told us about his future plans that would see him going away from us. He has been a rockstar and a gem of a person, the one who has kept this group glued together in Delhi. So it was obvious for everyone to get a little emotional. But this is life! You need to move on in search of a better life. Wish him all the best for his future plans!

It's good to see our little community growing, maybe once @firepower decides to hold a north India Steemit Accelerator, we will be able to make that event a huge success. Steem On !! :)
