To understand the subject matter at hand the need to define intuition cannot be underestimated.
There are myriads of definition for the term but several writers have reached a consensus that it is the ability to understand something instinctively, without the need for a conscious reading.
In the same view, in my words I'd say it is the ability of one's instinct to guide one psychologically especially without critical thinking.
However, this intuition is innately deposited in every person, to keep it active, one has to work towards it's development. Furthermore, we should briefly discuss succinctly the importance and use of this intuition.

- It boosts one's level of assurance in personal judgments
- It allows you to be open to new ideas that can lead to success.
- It boosts imagination and ability to be creative
- It reduces stress by helping you identify and handle problems more efficiently.
- It makes you feel like a more integrated, authentic person.
Spending a little time everyday to develop one's powers of intuition can pay off overtime with one's overall happiness. The following are a few ways of developing intuition.
Foremost, be attentive to sudden feelings. This mood swing and sudden change of feelings is a normality which in fact happens to just about everybody who lives in this usual unfair world with harsh conditions. However, it is expedient that one notes and be aware once there is a shift of mood. The awareness is the first stage in handling the situation. Question yourself on what the feeling is telling you which will give you insights on how to manage your life and the situation and minimize negative energy and circumstances.
