Coffee Corner #4 – How did your team fare in the World Cup?
Finally the World Cup is over!!! The trophy has been handed to France (Congrats!) and for me no more watching football in the household for the time being.
In the competition there is only one winner. However, in reality there is more than the one winner. To the nation that has qualified for the World Cup for the first time is already a winner, in fact all the nations that qualified are already winners. To the players who played in those matches are already winners. And even for Croatia that went to the final playoff is already a winner.
To me I think the teams or players that have achieved their goals in this tournament are already winners in their own rights.
This is similar for our lives. As long as we achieved what God has placed in our lives we are winners and will eceive the crown. We might not be millionaires or celebrities, but in God we are kings and queens.
This verse comes to my mind:
I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. - Philippians 3:14 (NLT)
The reflection question today is whether you are running your life to achieve the heavenly prize?
I strive to stay focus in reaching my goals
@styyl you were flagged by a worthless gang of trolls, so, I gave you an upvote to counteract it! Enjoy!!
Thanks so much. For a moment I thought I did something wrong.
