Sacred mountain Inal-Cuba

Among the Abkhazian mountains one would like to mention one of them, her name is Inal-Kuba, she is the Holy Mountain, she is Psukh-nykh, one of the seven sacred mountains of Abkhazia.

The history of the origin of this holy place goes deep into the thousand-year history of the Abkhaz. The mountain was named after the legendary prince Inal, who united the tribes of Abkhazians and Adygs.

Inal-Cuba is located high in the mountains, 5 kilometers from the village of Pskhu, in the west of the Pskhu-Gumistinsky nature reserve and from a distance it looks like a high rounded hill, covered with green forest above.

Getting here is not easy. The road from Ancho-pass (Pv) is open only in summer. In winter, the communication of the inhabitants of the nearby village of Pskhu with the mainland is carried out only with the help of aviation. I was lucky to see Inal-Cuba in all its glory in August 2017.
