7 Life lessons learned on the mountain
Life is like a journey. An adventure continues. Ever since you were born. You can not go back, you can not give back time. Go through deep valleys when it seems to you you are alone and everything around is black, when problems overwhelm you, the family does not understand you, job is screaming, your friends are not there, and then in a few months to be on the heights, to look like everybody you, everybody applauds you, everyone supports you, you are loved and admired. And then the cycle repeats itself.
I was in the mountains recently. I love the mountain. Since I was a child, I remember with pleasure how to climb the trails and how much curiosity did I have: what is beyond that peak. I liked to always discover. What's up after that? If I get to that tip what will I see? Each of us has his own mountain that he wants to escalate. You have a dream right now that you have been thinking for a long time and struggling to touch it. It's your mountain. I will share with you some lessons learned on the mountain:
1. Walking on the mountain is not for the weak.
If you're used to sitting down every day with the remote in front of the TV and your diet is fast-food and cola, a bit of workout does not hurt before. Climbing the mountain begins before climbing the mountain!
Lesson of Life: When you start fighting for your dream, prepare yourself forwards.
2. A mountain has ups and downs on its way.
When you feel like you've come to the top, Hop, you still have a valley before you start the final climb. There are places where you have to change direction to get to the top.
Life lesson: There will always be ups and downs. Life is made up of failures and successes. More often, some more rare. Keep your eyes on the final purpose.
3. When you are wrong with the route, the best decision is to go back.
Return immediately to the point you took in the wrong direction. A deviation with a degree on the route may represent a deviation of several hundred meters in an hour if you continue to steer in the wrong direction.
Life lesson: The best decision you can make when making a mistake is to acknowledge the mistake, get back, fix it, and move on. Denial will take you further away from your dream or goal.
4. On the higher peaks the sensation is more cool.
I have seen many groups of tourists who go to the mountains by car, park on the edge of the street, climb a hundred yards to a waterfall, take pictures and come back home. Nothing to condemn it. Not everyone wants to climb the mountain. When I was in camp during high school, 80% of the participants did not come out of the camp. But strong feelings live on top.
Life lesson: There will always be small people around you with small targets, mediocre people with mediocre targets, and people who want to fly with eagles, who set their daring dreams, who are regarded by others as fanatics, madmen wanting to change the world. And yet, those who have strong feelings are those who make their dreams bold.
5. As you approach the peak, the path is narrower.
Inaccessible places are not visited by many, so if you are a person suffering from agoraphobia, you have nothing to fear on the mountain.
Life lesson: Highways are for the crowd. The paths are for fears. Sometimes you know you're going in the right direction when no one goes with you. When you do something that seems crazy to others, it's normal to feel alone. Do not despair. Highways are for those who want comfort, they want something safe and warm, they want what everyone can have. Peaks are for those who dream.
6.From time to time on the mountain you fall.
You go downstairs, you go about 5 meters down. Sometimes you choose a route that takes you to a rock you can not climb.
Life lesson: Obstacles. They always appear. Someone said: the obstacles are just the stairs that help me get up. The obstacles are put there to see how much you want to get through them. The walls are set there to stop those who do not really want to continue. Obstacles always appear in your life. Sometimes they will leave you fatigued. Sometimes they will grind your ego. Sometimes they will humiliate you in front of those who know you and who will laugh at you. Sometimes they'll brighten you up. There are times when you can go to the street without a penny in your pocket or when you just split up from someone you love and feel like you're done. Does that mean you're nothing good? Does that mean you can not touch your dream? It means you can take a break, you can gather your forces and you can attack again. Obstacles are made to be past.
7.Peak is a place where you stay very little.
Yeah, he's in there. Yeah, you fight to get to the top. Yes, over obstacles, over fatigue, thirst, hunger, over rain, over backpack weight. You're on top. You enjoy the splendid view you have in front of you. Then it's time to get out and conquer another peak.
Life lesson: With effort, the dreams you have can be touched. However, they are just moments that are a bit short. You fight for some sensations that last very little. Do not make a single end in your life. do not build your life around a single dream. You will touch it, you will enjoy it and then you will not know what to do next. Peak is a place worth fighting, must be enjoyed, appreciated, and must be left. And after you've left it, you realize that the trip really deserved more than the peak. There you have learned so much about yourself, about others, about life.
It's your turn !
Tell me in your comments what a dream you have. What do you want to do? What do you want more than anything else?
Wow its amazing post dear @stephan92
Thank you!!!
I loved the phrase "In the highest peaks, the feeling is more great", the sensations that are experienced in the mountains are unique, only experienced in that place being in constant development and movement with nature allows us to feel that we are part of her. You are absolutely right when you mention those 7 lessons, I think that mentioning each of the lessons that each trip gives us makes us grow as people and help others who want to experience this journey. Each mountain, each place brings us different anecdotes and lessons, life is undoubtedly a mountain full of slumps and climbs.
Thank you for the appreciations!
Valuable life lessons, all seven of them. If the climb would be easy to do, reaching the top would not feel that special anymore. More challenges and obstacles you meet on the path, more knowledgeable you become. Great post!
Thank you!
