Woody Guthrie, the Great American Singer-Songwriter, Wrote Some Incredible New Year’s Resolutions
If you are getting a late start on the New Year’s resolution thing, here is some inspiration for you. In 1943, the great American folk singer-songwriter Woody Guthrie penned something a little different.
On January 1, 1943, the author of This Land is Your Land and many other classic Dust Bowl and Depression-era songs sat down to write some New Year’s Resolutions. There are 33 resolutions on his list.
Without more verbal diarrhea from me, here are they are, complete with doodles:
These resolutions are still relevant today. And I think you’ll agree he was a first-class doodler also.
