People Are Not Dysfunctional – Social Systems Are
" Sane is the insanity most call normality put forth by society " - Erik Till
Society is designed in such a way to make us lose our sanity at a time or another. To live in a place that throws fake ass wisdom our way and pushes on us a toxic formula of how to live a " successful and happy life", is nothing short of a challenge. Welcome to wonderland of madness, the only place where all of your most beautiful nightmares will come true. We will do all we can to accommodate your every need during your stay, which obviously doesn’t include your emotional and mental ones. Game over before the game even started, and ironically I already need to catch a break.
Depression isn’t depression. Depression is a mirror to everything that’s wrong with society. The survival of the fittest has reached deadly proportions. I’m fit enough to run a marathon, with proper training, but surely not to participate in this daily race that society forces upon us. Freedom, freedom, freedom. Where are you at? You don’t have a fucking say in this. If you can’t keep up, you and you only will be blamed. It’s the way it goes. We get blamed for our mental health issues. Blamed that we’re not trying hard enough. Blamed that we asked to get sexually assaulted. And somewhat, as crazy at is sounds, we keep saying Yes to this insanity daily?
Society loves to take the easy way out. The responsibility never lays in the hands of the offender. We won’t teach men not to rape women, we’ll rather teach women not to dress in a provocative manner. We won’t reform the social institutions to better fit the needs of the people, we’ll instead make sure the people fit the needs of the institutions. You don’t like our logic? We never asked for your opinion anyway. You want to have a say in this? Go get a Phd and then you’ll perhaps hold a chance to open your mouth.
You’re only as dysfunctional as the environment in which you live that perpetrates that dysfunction. Society, there’s nothing wrong with me. Society, there’s everything wrong with you. I could care less about success, validation and competition. I don’t want money, I want a sanity. I want to be free from your claws that are tearing me apart, society. Please let go of me, why won’t you let me be free?

I used to be sane too, but I woke up to myself.
I have no interest in fitting into an an insane inverted reality where the lunatics run the asylum. I can do it for brief periods on demand but most of the time I prefer my insanity as it allows me to think for myself and not follow any edicts constructed by madmen.
I remember when,
I remember when I lost my mind
There was something so pleasant about that place
Even your emotions have an echo in so much space
And when you're out there without care
Yeah I was out of touch
But it wasn't because I didn't know enough
I just feel too much
Does that make me Crazy
Does that make me Crazy
Does that make me Crazy
Possibly
I love this song especially in like 2007.
A lot of it came from educational systems which were infiltrated via Oxford and others, especially seen in the early 1900's in some ways. So much has been influenced from schools as opposed to from local families. Over time, that begins to influence social systems, etc.
