Symptoms That Your Body Is Asking For More Water
70% percent of our body consists of water. Every cell of our body is made of it. When our body doesn’t receive as much water as it requires, our cells begin to shrink, and in severe cases can die. We all have busy days and often forget to drink as much water as we need to drink according to healthy limits. Drinking less water can cause dehydration, make us mentally disoriented and decrease our productivity and focus.

While you may think that you’re doing well with drinking enough water, you may not be keeping up with as much as you need. If you’re drinking less water your body will start to show certain symptoms as an indication that you need to drink more. So, the next time you experience some of the following symptoms, consider drinking more water. And by drinking water, I mean drinking water, not other artificial beverages.
Here are the most common signs you will experience if your water intake is insufficient :
Headaches
This is probably the first sign you will get if you are not hydrated properly. In fact, most of the headaches are because of dehydration. The most recognizable symptom is that a headache gets severe when you move.
In most cases, drinking water can instantly cure your headache. So, instead of taking painkillers try drinking a few glasses of water, as much as you can to fill up your tummy the next time you get a headache on an empty stomach. But make sure you go sip by sip till you feel you’re full instead of continuously loading yourself with water. This will do wonders, by curing your headache and making you feel instantly fresh.Colored Urine
We mostly ignore it, but the color of our pee has a lot to say about the health of our body. While there can be many interpretations of a colored urine, mostly this symptom shows that you are not well hydrated. A well-hydrated body will have a clear urine, more towards transparent. Drinking enough water also helps our body wash off the unneeded substances from our body through urination and perspiration.
While you need to consume a lot of water, make sure that you don’t overload yourself all at once, as it can do harm instead of good. We need to give our body enough time to absorb every glass of water that we drink. So, go slow, a glass at a time.Dizziness
You can start feeling dizzy and your head may get heavy if you have lost too many fluids from your body. If you have stayed outside for longer periods or if you have been sweating, you may simply need to drink more water. You can also start feeling lethargic if you are dehydrated. It will refresh you once again and make you feel more active.Getting hungry
Many a times when you feel an urge to eat or snack on something even a little while after having your meal, it is most probably a false alarm. In case of dehydration, our body is tricked into feeling hungry when we are actually thirsty. In this case, drinking a couple of glasses of water will make you feel full and you won’t feel hungry anymore. Not enough Urination
Obviously, if we are not drinking enough we will not pee enough. Generally, a person with the normal body will urinate more than 6 times in a day. If you don’t feel like you have to go at least six times, then there are chances you are not drinking enough water.Skin Dryness
Needless to say, lack of water in our body will cause dehydration and our skin will not retain as much moisture as it should. As a result, you will have drier skin even when everyone else is just fine with the weather.
Conclusion
Drinking the water properly and in right amounts is very important for us, as most of our bodily processes and metabolism depends on it. Always communicate with your body by learning more about it. In this way, your body will tell you each and everything about your health loud and clear. All you need to do is to make sure that you listen to it and understand it’s language.
Thanks for the info. Also the type of water you drink is important. Fiji water is great!
During summer where there is lot of humidity this is really helpful when all the salt dries up from the human body
