If they are making an above average rate of return; this one fact will lead to reinvestment and or additional investors joining Steem....Honestly if the services of the bots were not wanted. No one would be using them. But people are; with great effect.

Individuals, organizations, & companies try to use their resources as best as possible to accomplish their goals & or tasks.
