#31, Be Eternal, 40 Days of Self AppreciationsteemCreated with Sketch.

It is said that the body's cells and tissues die and are replaced every seven years. Its obvious then that you are not the same as your cells. You are consciousness. Is the cell anxious and worried about its own mortality? The cell is programmed to grow, multiply, and die in a timely manner. When the cell quietly departs from the physical realm, it enriches the surroundings with vital resources. All the information is retained and recycled by laying the foundation for the next cellular generation. The information is transformed and returned back to the very soup of creation that spawned it. Soon that individual cell is replaced by others like it though all are unique - like a fingerprint or a snowflake. But that one cell is never forgotten. It had a role to play, a dharma, and its spirit lives on in the larger organism. Be like the cell and remember what it has always known. Death is an illusion; nothing is lost to the ocean of creation.

A cloud who has just poured itself over a mountainside to become one with the stream has not died; it has only transitioned back from where it came. Indeed, the cloud was never born. The life of the cloud was but a temporary amalgamation out of an eternal sea of possibilities. The cloud gives life back to the Earth asking for nothing in return. Be like the cloud; give yourself fully to the source of creation and be eternal. Do not fear death. Rest easy knowing that the spirit in you, the fiery passionate will to survive, that spirit is who you are. It is intrinsic to the universe; it has always been here and continues to express itself in an ever-complexifying infinitude of beauty.
