CAN BULLYING CAUSE A DEATH? A LIFE MARKED BY THE BULLYING
I want to tell you a personal experience. For some years in my performance as a university teacher, I taught a girl who was a victim of Bullying. I remember that it was a course with hard-to-manage students and for two consecutive semesters I taught them Electromagnetic Theory and, then, Transmission Lines. I constantly had to intervene to draw attention to such a group and ask them to leave the girl alone. She was shy and somewhat obstinate, her voice soft and sweet, she was a lonely girl. Eventually I found her in the cafeteria of the university ... isolated ... as expected. When I saw her, I would sit next to her to share with her, and sometimes she would sit next to me. Time passed ... until one day I received fateful news ... the girl had taken her own life ... it struck me too much. I thought so many things, I wondered how much more could I have done for her? Not only are those who harass responsible; as a society, we are also responsible for keeping silent, for not acting. We must not allow it, whether they are known or not! A life can be at stake, we must avoid it. A harassed child is everyone's problem!
I share a fragment of the news published in one of the many digital media (http://pamaracaibo.com.ve/se-quito-la-vida-estudiante-de-la-unefa-en-cabimas/). The news was also published by physical means. Wherever you are Omaira, rest in peace.

To close the story, I quote from the website https://psicologiaymente.net/psicologia/tipos-acoso-escolar-bullying the following: a research conducted in 2014 at King's College London discovered that the negative psychological effects suffered by people with bullying they remain for 40 years after being the victim of harassment.
