Ask the Car Guy @socky June 28
What is your car trouble?
I want to give back to Steemit community and provide some help on something that I know very well. Cars and how to fix them.
Please ask me about your car issue. Won't go into gear. Strange sounds. Don't know if you should take your car in to the shop. Just ask.
Send me the make, model, and year along with car symptoms.
Please remember to VOTE and ReSteem

my apologies socky, i thought i knew what i was talking about when i said my car doesnt have an ecu because its not fuel injected, i was wrong. i think it goes, all fuel injected cars have an ecu and not, only fuel injected cars have ecu's, sorry im no mechanic, should have taken your word for that as ur the car guy. anyway, i have another fault on my piece of shit ford fusion 2 1.4 petrol, today it gave me a fault, eac fail. i sluggishly drove it in a car park, turned the engine off and turned it back on and the fault was gone. its the 1st time its happened since ive had it. it has always taken forever for the revs to drop also which made me think electronic accelerator sensor??? but i dont know, im looking at a fault code reader, this 1, https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/Car-Engine-Fault-Auto-Code-Reader-Diagnostic-Reset-Scanner-Tool-Obd2-Bus-EOBD-UK/26008832884?iid=292270324804&_trkparms=aid%3D555018%26algo%3DPL.SIM%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D49129%26meid%3D5a61f50f60d246d88d5f2df5149aaa7d%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D12%26mehot%3Dag%26sd%3D272713992050%26itm%3D292270324804&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851
would u recommend i buy it?
Hey that is really cheap. Just verify your car is an OBD2 system. If the UK is like the US, there are auto parts stores that will have the code reader and will read the codes for free. Some codes will automatically reset while others will keep the engine light on until the power is cycled. Try to see if the auto parts store will read the codes for free. If there are no codes, then you may need to buy the scanner and read the codes while driving.
thanks socky il ask em to read the codes. it is an obd2 system so if they cant do it (i will be amazed if they do) il buy that and try it out, thanks again il come back later.
Friend. as I have already mentioned. I have a Fiat UNO Year 2006. He uses 3 1/2 pots of oil for the engine. Use 20W 50 Semi-sintentico, by mistake buy a 20w50 but mineral and complete it. because he lacked 1/2 pot to fill his tank.
The question is that can bring some bad consequence? for the engine? Semi-synthetic bonding with mineral.
It is perfectly fine. Synthetic oil and mineral oil will blend and work. There is no need to replace the oil unless you are really picky about the oil.
Thanks for this! Advice for 11 year old ford focus?
Cars have an average lifespan of 15 years. On average, manufacturers have to build enough cars to replace the cars built 15 years ago. Statistically speaking, that Focus has about 4 years left.
He is not going to upvote you. Stop kising his ass.
