UN FORGETABLE VILLAGE MEMORIES

Yesterday i had a chance to go and visit my grand father in the village. I had a look at the things the old man still treasures upto now and they were unbelievable.
the Environment in the village is just so calm and different from the city environment which is full of noise and up and down movements.
first i want to show you this plate and cup stand (utensils).

For all of you who have been to ugandan villages have actually seen these kinds of stands, the old man treasures it so much that he still keeps it in place and makes sure it is mantained in that whenever the stands get old they are replaced with fresh ones.

secondly i present to you the old man's first house.

"wooooooooow", is all i could say when he told me how much he treasures this house upto this time. he told me that his children upto now keep telling him to get rid of that mud house and they develop the place but he tells them to develop other areas.
funny thing is nothing is in this house because they built for him a big house in 2008 but he still feel attached to his first house. what i think is he hold memories for this house either with his children or his late wife and feel that demolishing it would be the end of them.
this is the house where his donkey used to have shelter before it was killed by gun men who had come to steel it at night 6 years back.

I now present the vast farm land which remained almost bare .

six years back, this land had over 100 heads of cattle and goats, but it was that day when a battalion of thieves stormed the place stole over 30 cows and goats that my Grand father decided to sell almost all the remaining animals and atleast invest in other ventures.
right now there are like only 10 cows on the farm which is a real down fall from what it was.

The village is a place where people have lots of fun, in town people have evening walks to relax but in my village you find evening rides,where people ride their bicycles slowly while discussing, laughing, generally having a good time.
this is mainly done by men.
i had a good time in the village and i wish to go back very soon to have a lot more of what i missed for this time.
