my experience with ayahuasca

First i think i have to start with a little introduction about Ayahuasca.

Ayahuasca is an Amazonian plant mixture that is capable of inducing altered states of consciousness, usually lasting between 4 to 8 hours after ingestion. Ranging from mildly stimulating to extremely visionary, ayahuasca is used primarily as a medicine and as a shamanic means of communication, typically in a ceremonial session under the guidance of an experienced sjamaan or healer.

The creation if done correctly will take up more then a day, and that's only the boiling of the 2 plants. The sjamaan or healer will have to put in positive energy by chanting and dancing, also it has to boil for more then 16 hours. It becomes a almost black brownish thick substance, which taste like (something new for me) crap but not too terrible.

Most important plants are the Banisteriopsis caapi (called the soul of ayahuasca), which contains the binding molecules to bind the DMT of the Psychotria viridis or the Diplopterys cabrerana plants so it all will work when consumed, otherwise there will be no effect. Some sjamaans and healers also use coca leaves in there mix.

So that is ayahuasca in a birds view, now the experience.....

I meet a girlfriend of a girlfriend who had some connections with a sjamaan in peru, she one day spoke to me about this stuff (ayahuasca) and made me curios, so i googled and got interested by the fact that you would get to see more then in real life.

A little while later she told me that she was going to organize a ceremony in our country with the sjamaan (don jose campos) from Peru. So without a doubt i signed up. I did ask many friends to join me but somehow they all said no. I asked why? No real answer came out of it. (just scared i think, confronting yourself can be hard)

So i went there, the location was small farm far in the rural area of holland. Maby 10 people the max. Oooh completely forget too tell you, it is best to not eat for 2 days in front and no drugs and sex. so i did that, except for some weed.

Inside was round setup with pillows and mattresses, also a blanket and bucket for everybody. We picked a spot and started to relax (meditate and stuff) for a hour, by then it became quite dark outside and the light became very soft. THen Don Jose started a drink for himself, and asked us 1 by 1 to come by for a drink. It was like a small shot glass 2x.

I took it and started laying down and try to give myself too the ayahuasca, Cause thats what they explained to me, you have too admit yourself to it, in order too let it, take you where you can learn and see. Pfff Not easy! first i became a bit nauseous and threw up like 4 times, i could clean it up (empty bucket) so others helped me. At that moment there was this guy getting real deep in it, laughing really loud, then crying, not able to sit still. so the sjamaan calmed him with some stuff could really notice cause i was on the edge of going too.

Then the sjamaan started making music and his assisted came by with special smoke and leave making noise and smell. This really calmed me and i started to see and feel some strange things, i saw this big wall of small pictures. As i came closer they where little movies, movies of my life. wow pretty strange.. and boom i was back enjoying the music.

This continued for quite a while, but didn't get intenser.

After a hour of 4 a 5 we all where kinda done, and got some fruit and tea. We shared a bit of our experiences and left.
This was the first time i did it, the sjamaan asked me to come the next day again, he told me that if you want real knownledge about yourself and the nature etc. You cant learn that in 1 session. He said you probably need a few for just cleaning a bit of your luggage before even getting to that stage of knowing.

And that was my first experience with Ayahuasca.
