Would you stop if I was famous?

Today I went to the store for no particular reason. I stopped to talk to Alan, the local homeless man in my neighborhood. He’s a old school kind of guy with a scraggly beard, a balding head, and a cigarette in his hand. We were discussing how people these days only want to help someone if they benefit from it. “There are good people out there don’t get me wrong, but majority of people love to bring up the fact that they helped you. They want you to feel obligated to owe them something in return.” He said, “Majority of people just walk by and don’t even give a shit that a human being in need is sitting right in front of them.” This made feel sad, I couldn’t of imagine how I would feel if I was in his position he’s a great guy with a good heart and a few bad decisions. Now let me ask you this, If this man was famous, the biggest celebrity you ever dreamed of meeting. Would you stop? Would you give him food & drink? Would you give him a place to sleep? The answer is you would, I would too, honestly if he was Seth Rogan I would act quick to make sure his needs be met. The thing is society has taught us that it’s okay to not care about who ever is in need but idolize those who don’t need us. We are all humans, not one human is greater than the other. We are all equal, Who are we to judge? Well you tell me... and once again would you stop if I was famous? 🤔
