The holidays are just a illusion and is in fact a bad deal! We could make a better deal!

If il just be honest and straight forward, than i must say that the holidays is just nonsense, and dont get me wrong, hear me out for a second, i mean a year have 365 days, and it depends on the country you live, and many countries celebrate Christmas in the old fashion way. That means friends and family come to gether, give each other presences, eat the best and most delicious food of the year, and also tell stories to each other, play games, laugh a lot, re-open old arguments or fights, or completely ignore each other and then it will look like this.....

Family-Christmas-Dinner.jpg

Not in every family of course, because there are many people around whom don't have a family, or even lost family members, kids or there partners. Who will get a hard time when it's the holidays, because they see everyone is happy to celebrate Christmas with the family, and they will show that energy to everyone around them. What any broken soul will see and there for many of those single or lonly people, start to hate or ignore the time of this year, and hope it will be gone asap.

But what are the holidays for everyone? What will happen in those days? What will people do? Now i can't talk for everyone, but i can talk about the general things what will happen on those days. For start...

  1. Family and friends come together.
  2. The best food what anyone can paid will be served.
  3. Presents will be given to each other.
  4. There will be opportunities to communicate with each other.
  5. The houses will be decorated with beautiful lights and decoration.

Now it completely depend on which country you live or the background you have, or what your family can afford, but most of the time will families tries to reach the above standards and everyone will try to make the best of it.

So around Christmas families come together and then try to make the best of it, and sometimes those families stay longer together because 5 days later it's New year's eve. On that evening family and friends gather to count down right before midnight, to say after the clock hits midnight happy new year to each other, and then act like they had just finished a survival run, and that they all had reached the finish line!

But at the end of the day, is new year's eve the same day as any other day. And our society let us all think that new year's eve is a special day, because it's the transmission of the old year, into a new year. But guess what.... we are only doing what a old ancient Roman emperor wanted in the first place, Julius Caesar. He also renamed the month Quintilis into Juli ( his own name ), and the month of Sextilis was changed into the name of his successor Augustus. If you want to read more about it, then look here. http://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/new-years-day

So the Christmas holidays is a time when family and friends come together, and give each other presents or love, and even the fighting on the battlegrounds will even stop for Christmas. And on new year's eve are family and friends waiting to do a countdown right before midnight, and after that they partying the whole night long. And this is so normal in our society, then we take it for granted and prepare ourselves internationally for these days.

And one month later is another important holiday, what not everyone celebrate, but is starting to get popular in our society, and then is Valentine's day. On that day lovers or partners come together and do romantic with each other, or people show or proof there love to each other, and then on different ways, it depends on the creativity of the individual. Now this is not what everyone celebrate ,but in the last couple of years, it's starting to get popular, and even if you don't have a partner or a lover, then the surroundings around you will remind you that it might be better to have a partner. That could easily be very irritating for people, who are not in the position to get a new lover. So Valentine is changed into a important holiday in our society, and if you like it or not, your friends or family or at work will all remind you of the upcoming Valentine day event, which is not a event and more about expressing gratitude or love to each other. So basically this all means that in one year time, many people react on the holidays and do presicly what the holidays demand from them. But what about the rest of the year? Ah yes then we need to work right?? We need to create the opportunities and funding to do what the holidays wants us to do. Now let me ask you a rhetoric question...
What if everyone in your family lives in the neighborhood, and is also financial independent and have everything what they need. Would you think the holidays means something from them?

I don't think so, because to them is every day a holiday. They can do what ever they want and there for live in a complete other reality then the working men, who sometimes must work months to get the funding for a holiday. But to a family who have everything what they want, is a holiday nothing special.

Now think about people who live in a country, who don't have anything at all. They had just seen a war, lost family members, or there partners or kids. Do you think that they care about Christmas, Valentine's day or New year's eve? DO you think they will sit in a rubber boat and count down to 12 on new year's eve? I don't think so, because they need to survive, and that is the most important priority for people, who sit in a situation were the basic needs is special, and a holiday is nothing more than luxury, what they could only dream of.

It's just that the majority of the masses live in a illusion that a holiday have some kind of magic, what can bring peace on this planet, and let everyone laugh or fall in love with each other, or even see the next day as a new beginning. Like every year people start with, i will not do this or that this year and i will stop smoking and blablbalabla

Now if you ask me then all this is a bad deal, and it should be other way around. I mean why only peace for 2 days? Why not peace for the whole year? Or why see a day like a new year? Why not celebrate every new day? Or why show your love in a special way on Valentine? Why not every day of the year? You think that's to much??? That change your strategy...

But the point is, it's not needed to proof your love with presents, flowers or special dinners. You only need to be real to your partner, tell her/him the truth, enjoy life as how it is. Because you don't want to be old and think back to the holidays or valentine days or any other day, that you saw your family. Then you can only hold on to the few days you had been together, what will only give you regret or the wish that you had seen more.

But you can't get more, because our society had trapped everyone in a way, that people needs to live there lives with strangers, to make sure that money comes on the table, to make sure that the same family can enjoy a holiday family dinner, and right after the dinner it's back to a work what most of the people, don't want to do.

Now this all might chaotic or funny or weird and im not traumatized by the holidays, it just never made any sense to me. I mean, why did i only saw my uncles or cousins on some holidays?? And the rest of the year i never saw them. Or some people travel to a complete other country to work, and only to come back for the holidays, and then right after the holidays they go back to work, what have huge consequences for kids or families, who must have grown up without a partner.

So what im trying to say is, the holidays is something for the working class. They are needed to keep the engine of society going, they are used like the Romans used the Collusseum to entertain the masses. Who are the same masses, what was needed to do everything for the elites. And nothing has changed, because now the media and commercial enterprises are working along to make sure that they will earn maximum profit from the holidays.

The main message in a nutshell is, you need to work and the only time you will get are the holidays. Or else you can't live like any other person in our society. Because it's normal to be with your family with Christmas, its normal to celebrate new year, and if you are a couple then its normal to celebrate Valentines day. And if you can't celebrate all this, then you either have no family or no funds to do what everyone else is doing.

So Holidays are nothing more or less to give the working class the illusion that they need to work, before you can relax on a holiday, they need to earn that right, they must earn the money to pay for presence or else they don't deserve that. That's makes this all a very bad deal, it's a illusion to keep our minds busy, while the truth is that the worlds needs to be financially and mentally free, from the dogma's and manipulations of the past!

This means im not against the holidays, it only means that we all don't need a holiday to see family or friends, or be more extra special to your partner, because at the end of the day, it's all about money and with cryptocurrency now, we can even change the game and make every day a holiday! Enjoy the holidays friends and followers! Cheers

Completely agree! We are so indoctrinated that holidays should be some certain kind of special, that they can actually cause a lot of stress for people. When you feel your Christmas is not as perfect as it is in the commercials, very possible you'll be disappointed about the way things go and feel sad and lonely and even depressed. I feel, just like you, that we should ease out on those holidays and realise that every day has the potential for finding happiness and peace and fulfilment.

I hope this means that you did not buy any gifts this season

That's how i look at society, i play along because i have a family and kids. But if am honest then to me is everyday special. I like to do what ever i want, and not what the masses wants us to do. That's nonsense if you ask me, and that is no freedom. I think if we all get the chance to sit every weekend with the whole family, then people would do it. But because of finance or work that's not possible.

And only later when people are old, then they regret not seeing family members much!! Nah not me my friend, not me!! In my eyes is every night new year, and every day is christmas and everyday i look at my woman and think, she is my valentine. And maybe im not expressing that with needs, but it is my interpretation of the reality. Thanks for your comment!

Thats a great story. Thanks for share.

you don't want to spend more taxes so your government can use the majority of it to murder another hundred thousand people in the coming decade?

The moral of this post is, that everyone has the freedom to do what ever they want, nobody should do what tradition, government or who ever demands from them to do. Like going to war is another useless action what only benefit the banking system and arms industry.
