The mysterious Island of India- The North Sentinel Island

Today I am going to tell you guys a story about the mysterious place of India,The North Sentinel Island where none of us are allowed to visit the place. Located far into the Bay of Bengal, North Sentinel Island is one of the most isolated place on earth. It is home to the Sentinels tribes of Andaman Islands.

The Sentinels ( also known as Sentinels or North Sentinel Islanders ) are the indegenous people of North Sentinel Island. They are among the last people to remain virtually untouched and unconnected by modern civilization. Previous attempts have been made to contact with them but they all faced the violent wrath of the Sentinels. The precise population of the Sentinels se is not well known. The number is estimated around is 15-500. Any small or large impact on the Sentinels population arising for 2004 Tsunami is not known, other than the confirmation that they had survived the immidate aftermath.

The Northern Sentinel Island made headlines in 2006 after the tribe murdered two fishermen who had illegally approached the island. After the incident a 3 mile zone has been imposed around the island. They are equipped with javelins and flat bows. They have an amazing high accuracy at shooting targets at far. They can easily shoot targets as far as 350 feets away. The Indian Government, who previously tried to establish a relationship with the tribe, have since stopped all attempts to make any contact. To this day very less is known about the Islanders of Sentinel.

Geographically North Sentinel Island is considered as a part of the Indian Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. However in practice North Sentinel Island might as well be it's own planet.
