3rd Birthday - Farm Party
Yesterday was the day we celebrated my daughter's 3rd birthday! Weeks of preparation all leading to one day of celebration! The venue of choice was Barleylands Farm...We did consider having a house party and BBQ, but the cost of hosting, food, decorations etc plus all the cleaning up at the end persuaded me to opt for the done-for-you-party!
Grandad & the birthday girl!
So first port of call was feeding lambs:
The birthday girl with daddy😍
It took a little persuasion at first for the birthday girl to join in!
Being introduced to Fluffy the rabbit🐰 There were also quite a few other animals in the barn: ponies, donkeys, goats, sheep, pigs and calves.
It's a working farm so good hygiene was a necessity (as always!)💧
Jack Scarecrow lol!!
Besties!😊
Next it was time for the Tractor Trailer ride! All Aboard!!
Listening carefully to the rules!👂🏾 The ride took us all round the Farm park...past various equipment, animals and fields..it was a lovely scenic ride on a beautiful sunny day!
The birthday girl got to sit in the driving seat!
On the way to the Party room for some food!!🍴🍰🎉🎁🎈
Getting in some extra playtime in before the party room was ready!
The party table with some of the birthday gifts!
I decorated and baked a farm themed cake especially for the occasion!🐓🐑🐖🐄I managed to decorate it in one day, which was a tall order (I'm still aching now!)...but I loved creating it and I was happy with the result🎉🎉🎉
Enjoying the party food - The farm provided a lovely lunch box including jam sandwiches, yoghurt, crisps, a chocolate bar and juice...yum!
My little kitten is 3❤❤❤!!
Family Photo - proud parents!!
After the party was finished, we were able to stay in the park until closing time. There were plenty of other activities and toys to play with as well as a reptile house to visit, the lamb national event racing various animals...chickens, goats and lambs, which was loads of fun!
We ended up spending a lot of time in the indoor play area!!
Conclusion:
All in all I would say a party at Barleylands Farm was amazing value for money and a great experience! The birthday girl got a lovely birthday present (a fluffy stuffed bunny named patch!) , all the children got a ticket for free entry into the park and a party bag full of really good toys: a notebook, dragonfly glider, finger toys, jelly snake, jumping toy, bubbles...that alone plus entry into the park and the party food box was great value for money!! Touring the park with a very knowledgeable guide giving the kids really interesting facts along the way made for a really memorable stress free birthday!!
I really hope you enjoyed reading about our farm party birthday...cake tutorial to follow!
Till next time! x
