A WALK IN THE PARK THAT ENDED IN A GOOD LAUGH

Hello to my dear Steemian friends,

I want to share with you a very interesting incident which happened with me yesterday.

I go for a brisk walk every evening. It is a ritual I have followed for years ( last 17 years , to be precise). I just love this "me-time" where I can soak in the nature. A look at the greenery around fills you with a fresh energy ( Its better than eating an energy bar :) ).
When i look at the children playing, enjoying themselves on the swing, carefree and totally oblivious to the worldly problems, it rids you too of your worries and problems. It makes you nostalgic about your childhood,carefree days.

I was walking in the park along with a friend and we were engaged in a conversation. This friend of mine has a gift of the gab and was telling me what happened at a relative's funeral. We were totally engrossed in talking to each other; i was basically listening and asking a few questions in between while she being a glib talker, was giving me minute details of the incident.
Before I could raise my next query , a woman walking right behind us , a total stranger to both of us ( who obviously must have been all ears to our conversation ), asked , " WHAT HAPPENED THEN ? "

We turned back together ,too aghast , to look at and find a totally unknown person , being privy to our private conversation and having the guts to intervene . We looked at each other wherein each one of us was thinking that the other one must be knowing " the stranger lady". My friend, seeing the amount of curiosity written clearly on the lady's face, gave her some answer so that she could "SLEEP IN PEACE " (sip :) ).
After this , both of us increased our walking speed to create enough distance between The Lady and Us. When we were both sure that she would not be able to hear us any more, we looked at each other , silently asking if either one of us knew the lady.

When we realized that none of us actually knew her, we laughed our hearts out.
Oh God.. how she made our day !!!!
