NEVER OUTSHINE THE MASTER !!Must Read for a healthy life!!
Hey steemit freinds. Just read a book which forced me to write a blog for it to explain you before making any decision that will benefit you in future to be the best version of yourself. So the book I read it's called "The 48 Laws of Power" by Robert Greene.
In this book the author reveals his 48 laws of power in which law 1 is named as "NEVER OUTSHINE YOUR YOUR MASTER".
While I was reading the the author took me back to the early 16th century and proved this law by sharing a story Nicolas Fouquet who was the finance minister in the first years of his reign in the times of Louis XIV. Fouquet was cleaver and very indispensable to the king. When Jules Mazarin died in 1661, the finance minister expected to become the next prime minister. When Fouquet heard that the king decide to abolish the position of prime minister and suspected that he was falling out of favor, so he decided to ingratiate himself with the king by staging the most spectacular party that the had never seen. The party ostensible purpose was to commemorate the completion of Fouquet's chateau, Vaux-le-Vicomante, but it's purpose was to pay tribute to the king, the guest of honor.
The party began with a lavish seven-course dinner which all were fore tasted in France and new dishes were presented especially for the night. After dinner there was a promenade through the chateau's gardens. Fouquet personally accompanied the young king the geometrically aligned arrangements of shrubbery and flower beds. While walking the gardens canals they witnessed fireworks display which was happened on the performance of Moiliere's play. Everyone agreed that they had a best night affair they had ever attended.
The next day Fouquet was arrested by the head musketeer D'Artagnan, then three months the trail started for stealing the money from the courtesy's treasury. Fouquet was found guilty was sent to the isolated prison of France in the Pyrenees Mountains, where he spent twenty years of his life in solitary confinement.
A second is I am going to discuss about Galileo Galilei was one of the most greatest minds that Italian has ever witnessed where Galileo had found himself in a precarious position. He was cleaver also by observing his patrons and would sometimes make gifts of his inventions and discoveries to the leading patrons of the time. In order to solve his perennial problems of funding he dedicated his discovery of the moons of Jupiter to the Medici. Since the royal symbol the Medici family was the plant of Jupiter. He commissioned an emblem for them with each moon representing one of the sons who revolved around the patriarch. The Medici family became his major patron appointing him by court as a official mathematician and philosopher, thereby giving a comfortable life with a steady salary.
