Pear Sorbet @senseicat

in #life7 years ago

Enjoy this delicate and healthy dessert treat.

2 pounds (4-6) very ripe Comice pears
2 Tb. sugar
1 vanilla bean, split lengthwise
Juice of 1 lemon

Peel and core the pears, then place them in a pot with the sugar, vanilla bean, and 1/2 cup of water. Cover and cook 15 to 20 minutes until soft. Drain and put into a food processor. Add the lemon juice and puree until smooth. Let cool.

When the puree is cool, scrape it into a 3 cup half melon mold and put it in the freezer. Just before you are ready to serve, unmold the sorbet onto a serving platter with a deep rim.

You got it!

thank you to give me...keep it up

It looks sublime; I bet those delicate flavors are without a better definition PERFECT. I just picture this sorbet on top of a warm brownie. Extremely mouthwatering

I have a bunch of mixed berries in my freezer that would be great as a sorbet. I bet peach would be amazing as a sorbet too, I've never seen frozen peaches to buy at the store so I may have to freeze my own. Strawberry and banana would work great as well. there are so many options!.

Emphatic YES to all of the above choices.

seems very tasty.
