Elon Musk Turning Homes Into World's Largest Virtual Power Plant @senseicat
Elon Musk's Tesla built the world's largest battery in Australia, currently providing electricity to 30K homes.
Free solar panels linked to tesla batteries will be given to 50K homes in an effort to turn the houses into it's own power plant.
The excess sale of electricity will finance the cost keeping the participating households free and clear of costs.
Trials will begin with the public housing sector and plans will be in place to implement to other South Australian homes within 4 years.
The goal is for the virtual power plant to generate as much electricity as large gas turbine or coal power plant.

I feel that there is a smart way and dumb way to use solar. The dumb way is to allocate hundreds of acres of real estate to solar farms. The smart way is to utilize existing space on rooftops or awnings to collect solar. In some cases there is too much solar and power needs to get dumped. This has happened a few times in California. The other smart initiative is providing storage during off peak periods during peak usage. Elon knows the correct way to collect and store power.
Elon is a visionary and commits to finding paths forward where others see obstacles. When making money in a venture is not the driving force, you can see how much advancements can be made. Everyone benefits from his ingenuity.

Oh Elon you silly Visionary, I hope you change the world for the better, making me wish I could buy a Tesla.
I am not one for driving fancy cars, but I am actually thinking Tesla when the markets zoom back up.

This man is my role model, he never got rich by manipulation or by screwing up the planet, and what does he do with the money he got? He creates companies to make the world a better place, this is the kind of capitalism that i like to see, not ppl like trump, or the big oil industries, ppl who are trying to change the world to a better place, i'm happy to live in the same age and world as Elon, he is my main role model atm, i actually got emotional last night when i watched the falcon heavy launch, when the starman music started i almost cried, and i'm a grown ass man that never cries, but the whole thing actually got to me, just realized i wrote a long comment to your post xD sorry for making you read all this, i just needed a place to express my fellings, might need to do a post about Elon
Most people have great ideas and great intentions for making our world better, but Elon is a powerful force for the good of all. It proves that there is enough to go around and our contributions no matter how small or large, as long as it is driven by good intentions, will infuse vast improvement in our lives, communities, and world.
