“Warehouse of Hitler's Weapons" at Reubee Grand Mosque
The remaining of "cannons of the war” on the night of Eid al-Fitr (Islamic holiday) 1438 H (2017) are stored in front of the grand mosque in Reubee, Pidie, Aceh. Among those “cannon-guns” are written “Adolf Hitler”, “Union Soviet”, “Brimob” etc.
Since the conflict of Free Aceh Movement (GAM) and Indonesian military ended, there are in several villages in Pidie, Aceh, have a tradition of “war” using homemade "weapons" made of bamboo and drums. This "war" is held on the second night of Eid al-Fitr every year.
The sound of the "cannon" made out of the drum was very loud and blaring through the night, disturbing the sleep of the elderly, the sick man and babies.

Fascinating. Any idea why it is written in English? Were these painted after the war...and by whom? I love mysteries. This I find curious. I wouldn't be brave enough to stand so close. Kudos.
These were painted by the youths in the village this year. It's just the game for them.
