The little wave

WAVES.
A little wave was swimming along the ocean with a bunch of other waves. He was amazed at how big and gargantuan the other waves were. Some were as big as three churches, and he even thought one was able to touch the sky. All he could see was the endless ocean stretching for miles and miles in every direction. Without any worries in the world, the little wave was very happy.
Then far in the horizon, he saw something he never saw before a brownish and greenish structure, and it seemed to have stopped and replaced parts of the mighty ocean. As they were going near this strange structure he saw that some of the waves that hit this tall and enormous rocky thing were never to be seen again. So, he began to feel another feeling, FEAR. What would happen to him if he struck the structure? Will he be gone? Will he cease to exist and disappear forever?
He saw one of his friends speeding happily towards the rocky cliff and he yelled: STOP!!! Don’t do it or you’ll DIE!!!
His friend stopped and looked at the little wave quizzically. He asked, “What is the matter little wave?”
The little wave replied that he is afraid and he does not want to die and disappear.
At this the other wave laughed. He said “Oh little wave, we do not die when we crash on the cliff. We can never die, we become one with the Creator. Upon crashing at the rocks, we do not disappear. WE ARE NOT JUST WAVES, WE ARE PART OF THE OCEAN. AND WE SIMPLY GO BACK TO HIM TO BEGIN LIFE ANEW…
This was a beautiful story by the legendary Paulo Coelho. He captured most of our doubts, dilemma and worries. We no longer think that we are special. We forget that we are created in the image and likeness of God. In fact, God created the vast universe and everything in it, so we could have a beautiful life, here on this Earth.
Like the little wave we usually fail to see our value. Like the little wave and everything else, God created each one of us for a Purpose. And once we discover Our purpose, we reach our full potential, achieve our dreams and Give Glory to GOD. We realize that we are not just individuals with self-interests; but rather we are individuals who should help grow and mold each other with our shared problems and triumphs. We are not just flesh and blood, but we are touched with the Divine and overflowing with God’s grace and power. WHY? Because we are not WAVES, we are part of the OCEAN, WITH THE UNIVERSE, AND WITH GOD.
