A downside to living in Las Vegas

I went to get into my bed and looked up to find this on my wall!

They are called Arizona Bark Scorpions and they are extremely venomous. They are not indigenous to this area, rather as part of this particular master planned community where I reside, many large palm trees were imported (although from where I am not sure) and the scorpions came along for the ride.

I have been stung once by a small scorpion. It felt like an electric shock or current throughout my body and within an hour one arm went numb. Luckily the stinger didn't penetrate deep enough into my skin to cause danger to my health but it was certainly a scary episode as I had no idea what to expect or what to do.

One thing is certain, I need to get the bug guy out to spray again.
