Unidentified flying saucer

Have you ever seen an unidentified flying saucer that you just knew was from somewhere besides earth? This happened to my brother and I living in Alabama in 1973 during a UFO flap. It was a spectacular day time siding that I will never forget. The craft was a classic saucer shape. It rose straight up from behind the hill and headed west staying just above the tree line on top of the hill. It traveled approximately a 1/4 mile then descended straight down behind the hill. It never made a sound and it had no visible sign of propulsion.

My brother and I ran into our friend's house while they were in the middle of dinner and ask their family to come out and see. Of course we saw nothing else. They kind of laughed it off, and my brother and I left. When we got home, we told our grandmother. She said, "that is funny. Evelyn and I were talking on the phone a little while ago and we heard the silliest gibberish on the phone. We laughed and joke that it must be those little green men people were claiming to see." Of course she was referring to all the UFO reports that were coming in.

I don't know what we actually saw. My bedroom window faces that hill. That night I slept with my head under the cover. I sure didn't want to wake up and see some strange creature looking in my window.

I still love to watch the skies hoping to see something just as incredible, but this time I want lots of witnesses.
