Post Hurricane Irma Clean Up - No Internet Weak LTE and Boil Water Notice
My home wasn't hit by Irma other than some sand blowing up and we have no internet and cell service is off and on. We do have a boil water notice even for showering! WhichI am taking very seriously because it's health related and who knows what's in this brown water. At my job we have the same issue so everything needs to be hand written until the internet is back up. If I stand in one corner I'm hoping I can get this post out via eSteem because cell service is going from Lte to no service!
My property in South Florida was hit a little harder. The glass lights all broke off and all the trees and shrubs from neighboring buildings landed on my property. Part of a fence fell over but overall everything will be ok. We had no injuries or deaths in this area and that's the most important thing. All the other things I mentioned above are being fixed and cleaned by my contractors.
Clean up and broken section of wood fence. Easy fixes, no leaks or roof damage.
The Florida Coast guard is doing a great job too.
Well, that's all I have for an update today, everyone is healthy and safe. Just have to be patient for Xfinity to bring internet back up and for the cell phone towers to get less congested. I hope everyone here who went through Irma is healthy, safe as well. Please boil and filter your water or buy bottled until the water is safe to use again.
I hope you enjoyed. Please Upvote, Resteem, and Follow me @road2wisdom
take care
Thank you
Good to see you back and to know everything is ok with you.
It seems to be hit or miss around Miami-Dade/Broward as far as the extend of damage. We got by pretty easy here - all things considered. No power/water for about 30 hrs, and the usual trees down everywhere. We have some family and friends closer to the coast in Ft Lauderdale area that got flooding from the storm surge and just got power back this morning. Stores are still empty by me, very little refrigerated/frozen foods in stock.
Life is getting back to normal though. :-)
Yes, things are slowly getting back to normal. A lot of stores are still closed due to having no power around here. Glad to hear you made it ok. Sorry to hear about family and friends that got flooded. Hopefully this will be a distant memory soon. Thank you
Glad to hear you all made it through the storm relatively unscathed. Really feel bad for those living on the islands though, such a fragile delicate "balance" everything is...
Thanks Alex. Yeah, the islands got it really bad. St Martin is our favorite vacation island, we go every year and the first images coming back are just horrendous. It's such a helpless feeling - very sad.
So good you are fine! :) I was wondering of that... Your kid?
Thank you and my son was with me and is well thanks for asking.
So good! :)
Glad to hear that you are safe!
Thank you @papa-pepper safe yes but overall in a time where life sucks and in a rut, I hope I can get out of it soon. thanks for sharing. God bless you and your family.
We got off easy this time! Glad you're ok. Hoping cell service improves quickly too, I cant see your photos Lol
