Love the effort you put into this post - not just the glamour, but the shitty things like the discomfort driving, poor insulation, and poor mileage. We did up a 1960's Bedford here in Australia and though we never got it on the road, and is now just a guest room (we used to live in it) we know the labour that goes into it. We did it with next to no money so not as posh as yours - lots of tip scrounging! We also did up a Bedford horse lorry TK in the UK which was awesome, but yeah, the rattle on long drives was a killer. Loved both though - both had woodburners in them. My hubby lived in an old Bedford mobile library when we met. We've done up lots of caravans and now a house. Hubby is doing up a 73 landrover series 3. We always joke that there has been a lot of SCREWS in our relationship. I do miss LIVING in vehicles though - loved it, and would do it again in a heartbeat.
