Just when we're told to forget everything about the past, there seems to be true uneasiness in doing so. Why?
There may not be perfect reasons to forget everything about the past.
Besides, the word past tells us already that we're only remembering-it's not now.
However,it is not out-rightly rewarding to forget everything about the past. This is because, there are significant events in our lives that set the pace for the future.
If we totally forget these things,we're also totally aimless.
Better not to know tomorrow than forget the past.
We must all have offices of our past in our hearts.
But in doing this,we must also take caution when the past is needed for today's work-that is the crux of the matter.
Therefore, forgetting everything about the past is like ceasing to live.
You must have a past, keep the past where it belongs because it has it's own place.
Then, use the lessons of the past to live today, and mould the future

Your post reminds me of just how bad the move The Last Jedi was. A theme in the movie was, "killing your past".
Basically this guy with shoulder length hair and a basket over his head thinks he can kill Han Solo to stop having daddy issues. No Kylo Ren, that's not how it works.
Have you ever considered applying to Disney as a writer? I think they need you.
Wow, thanks. I should try that.
