Wildfires: Algarve, Portugal
This is a sad situation: in the South of Portugal - on a well-known summer destination region called "Algarve" - wildfires are out of control for the past 7 days.
The fire is so big that it was photographed yesterday from the International Space Station...
Hundreds of firefighters try to control the problem, but lack of coordination, lot of wind and a hot weather is making the task even more difficult... In the meantime, politicians say the situation is under control and that it's "normal" that the fire endures for some more days.
Sad, sad situation. Let's hope the weather helps and this thing comes under control and that we don't see another tragedy like the one in Greece or the one that happened in Portugal last year...
