Let's Chase The Good Out of Here To Hell

in #life5 years ago

As we approach the start of the presidential race, let's be very clear about what is happening. We are living in a time where the common good has been swept aside for personal gain. This is not just an issue on Wall Street, and it is not only a problem with politics, but with the media, entertainment, and even the news.

Now then, I want you to take a moment to think about this: What in the world is the common good? What do we mean by this? If you take the common good literally, you would have to believe that the common good is anything that has an intrinsic value to its owner. That's pretty ridiculous, isn't it? Think about how silly that sounds, isn't it?

The concept of the common good is the idea that there are things in life that are worth doing because they have value. For example, if I were to work in a store, the items in the store have a certain amount of value. If I were to work in the stock room of a factory, that the value of the items was much higher.

What we mean by the common good, then is that the items that we have in our lives have value in themselves. This can be true for a lot of different things. A car might have a lot of sentimental value to you, or a house might be a great investment, or a lot of other things.

These are not just small, unimportant things, these are important things. In fact, the more important the things that you have in your life, the more valuable they become in terms of their own worth.

Now then, I'm going to ask you to step back for just a second and think about how your life feels right now. I'm assuming that you are at least somewhat unhappy, or at least not as happy as you would like to be. Now then, here's what you have to do: Identify the things in your life that have the most importance.

Do you see why this may be difficult? Well, for one thing, there are a ton of things in your life that have little to no value, and are in fact quite trivial in comparison to the things that you absolutely must have.

For another thing, you have to realize that you need to give up the things that you don't need, so that you can have great things. The reason that I suggest this is that you'll feel less depressed about the things that you do not need if you give them up. You'll also feel happier about the ones that you do. The good feelings you'll get will keep on coming.

Of course, this is all very difficult because you are probably tired of having to give up the things that you do. The worst part of all though is that you may never know what things really are important to you. You might not even realize it until you have to give up the things you want to make yourself happy.

The key here is to make some effort to examine things. Don't just take a quick poll and say, "Well, I think I want to do X." You need to sit down and think about things carefully, and make some decisions about what your priorities are.

Here's what you can do to help you out. First, figure out what exactly what you're looking for in your life, then you can figure out what things that you really want.

It's a bit of a long process, but I hope you find that by the end of it, you've gotten a grasp on what the good and the bad are for you and have started thinking about how you can let go of the things that aren't important to you. The things that are very important will need to be given up. The things that are not as important, but are also important, will need to be replaced. And the things that are a combination of both will need to be replaced with something else.
