A Call to Action from The Legends of Yesterday
Mahatma Gandhi once said, "be the change you wish to see in the world."
In a world full of possibilities, lives a great person who strolls the world after the legends of yesterday came. Notable legends of yesterday including Albert Einstein, Galileo Galilei, and Steve Jobs are the some of the crazy ones who thought they could change the world. And they proved themselves right.
But no matter what we do today, even with the technology that we have, we can't reincarnate the legends of yesterday. We can't bring them back to life to continue their legacies or to start world-changing ventures.
The Struggle
With the availability of social networking sites to the youth, they were presented with false interpretations of the real world. They have thousands of friends but a few ones who actually remembers their birthday without Facebook reminding them. The number of likes in their picture becomes the standard of popularity. Even courtship happens online and with a quick approval rate (and a faster rejection rate).
The Call to Action
The youth of today has to step up if they want to continue the legends' legacies. We, the Millennials of today, have to take responsibility for creating a better world for the youth.
Some of us may not be able to change the world in our lifetime, but we can touch someone's life, and they might be able to change the world.
The simple acts of kindness, the promotion of physical activities or phone activities, and much more. These are enough to continue the legacies of yesterday's legends.
Act now! Besides, soon, you will become a legend too.

PS: Years ago I searched for the source of the quote and could not confirm the source was Gandhi, even after contacting India's national archives and libraries and foundation...
"be the change you wish to see in the world."
But it is a wonderful motto, regardless who said it! LOL 😃
