I don't remember exactly who said this, but there's an old truism that goes something like "It's better to travel well than to arrive."

Most of the world seems very busy "forcing" life... I see it in some of the artists who come to our gallery and expect instant fortune and fame; for them it is as if "being a famous artist" matters more than simply creating art and trusting that it will come before the right people at the right time.
